Online Courses v.s. Hybrid Courses
You are allowed to take as many online courses as fits your academic plans. During the Fall and Spring semesters, you are limited to use only 3 units of the online course towards the full course load requirement, whether it is an SF State course or a course offered by another school.
If you are in your final semester and you need only one course to complete your graduation requirement, this course cannot be an online course.
A hybrid course is NOT considered an online course. The definition of a hybrid course is one that requires physical attendance for at least one component. This could be an orientation, an exam, a seminar, or any other kind of meeting which requires you to come to campus for this class. You are advised to read the course description carefully before registering for a hybrid course.
All units from hybrid courses will satisfy full-time requirements.
