The orientation is a program mandated by the US government according to the J-1 visa requirements that will take place the week before classes begin. You must attend each day of the orientation. In addition to the panels and presentations conducted by the Office of International Programs, the orientation is also an opportunity for international students to meet American students at SF Stateand explore San Francisco through the IEEC buddy program and IEEC social events. A detailed orientation schedule will be emailed to you one month before the orientation.
