To limit potential COVID-19 spreading within our community, we are serving our students remotely. In-person advising and document pick up at OIP office is unavailable. If you wish to access phone advising services, please sign up during the following phone advising hours:

 

Tuesday and Thursday
9:30AM to 11:30AM

Office of International Programs (OIP) provide advising on F-1 visa regulations, employment workshops, and new students welcome events assist degree-seeking F-1 international students in achieving their personal, professional, and academic goals. Our website is designed to answer the most-commonly asked questions we receive from international students. Students are encouraged to seek in-person advising during our drop-in hours whenever necessary.

You can speak to an F-1 international student advisor during the Drop-In advising hours(No appointment needed):

Monday to Friday: 2PM to 4PM
Tuesday and Thursday: 9:30AM to 11:30AM

Documents Pick-Up Hours/General Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

The response time is 1-2 business days (not including weekends or university closure).  Please provide your full name and SF State Student student ID number (if you have one) in your inqury.

The F-1 international student advisors provide advising on issues related to F-1 student visa status.
