This is the first (and only required) step to apply for SF State Abroad.
Please do not sign up for advising until after you have attended an information meeting and have narrowed down your top 2-3 program choices. If you are still confused about how to start, you may want to attend another information meeting.
Sign in for advising here. Currently, all advising is by phone or zoom on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm. You may note on the form when signing in if you prefer a zoom session instead of a phone call.
Do you know your first choice program and have verifed that you meet all program requirements?
Then, RSVP here to attend an Application Workshop.
SF State Exchange Programs: Tuesdays at 11 am and Wednesdays at 3 pm. RSVP above.
CSU IP Programs: Tuesday, Jan. 12th at 2 pm (RSVP here); Wednesday, Jan. 13th at 2 pm (RSVP here); Friday, Jan. 29th at 1 pm (RSVP here).
While not required, it is highly recommended and makes the application go quicker.
Winter Break is a good time to research study abroad scholarships.
Do you receive a Pell Grants as part of your financail aid and have US citizenship? If you said yes to both and applying to study abroad, apply for the Gilman Scholarship. RSVP today for a Gilman Workshop in February to get started.
