SF State Abroad supports all interested students who meet program requirements to participate and encourages Diversity Abroad. Additional information can be found for the following students here:


Plan Financially

SF State Abroad offers two types of programs: SF State Exchange and California State University International Programs (CSU IP). On both, students:

  • Pay the same tuition
  • Have access to their SF State Financial Aid
  • Apply for scholarships

January 15th - CSU IP Waseda (Japan) & Music in Germany

February 1st – Priority deadline for all other CSU IP and SF State Exchange programs
March 1st – Final deadline for programs with capacity

Spring & Calendar Year

September 1st – CSU International Programs*
September 15th – SF State Exchange Programs

*Calendar Year ONLY for Australia, Chile, & South Africa
